I have a crochet injury! This is my solution!!

I shared a photo on Facebook & Instagram last night that caused quite a stir. Who knew that it would! Not me! It was a photo of something that I made quite spur of the moment. With all of the crochet that I have been doing, I have had an injury. I am wearing the skin off my finger!! The crochet hook has been rubbing on my finger & causing a lot of pain.




Here is my solution..












It is just 20 chain stitches & 6 rows of double crochet. I then joined it together. And I can tell you that it works!! I call it the finger sock. Mr P has dubbed it the finger condom. Men….will they ever grow up!! Ummmm…..no.

Yesterday I was very spoilt! I joined in on a pamper & spa day with my fave bloggers! The ever fabulous Mrs BC's House of Chaos & Redcliffe Style from  Blog Power Events hosted a spa day at Beautiful You Hair & Beauty Day spa. It was A-Mazing!! I was pampered from my head to my toes. This day spa is situated in Margate, QLD on the Redcliffe Peninsula. You can see the ocean through the windows! Now that is my kind of day spa!! I have to say that I have never been to a day spa before. I have had massages, pedicures, manicures, had my hair done & facials but never all at the same time & in the same place. This was pure indulgence at it’s best! If you were following along in Instagram you would have seen just how much fun I was having.  This was the timetable I was given.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Fiji Massage was first on my list and seriously, it was the BEST massage I have ever had. AS I walked out the door I literally ran into Rachel from Redcliffe Style & Kimba from Kimba likes because I was so relaxed that I think I may have been sleep walking!! I was my fave part of the whole day because I love a good massage.

 

 

 

Next for me was the Image Facial Peel. I am someone who suffers the long term effects from years spent in the sun in my teenage years. I have sun damage on my forehead that is very noticeable. This morning I have woken up & I can’t believe the difference in the texture & tone of my skin!! The skin pigmentation on my forehead is certainly less noticeable & I am over the moon with the result.

 

 

 

 

This Blue Lagoon Hydrotherapy Spa is was something I could stay in all day!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Your body is exfoliated by jets of water!! Heaven!

 

 

 

Now I could handle waking up every day & having this done!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Champagne anyone? Yes please!!

 

By the end of the day, we were all so relaxed & looking fabulous!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It was a fantastic day & I loved every moment of it! I also loved catching up with all of my fave bloggers. I am sure there is a lot of faces that you all know in the photo above. I can crochet a beanie!

 

I am seriously amazed with the things that you can crochet. Well, that I am now able to crochet. If you had told me 3 weeks ago that I would be spending every single moment with a crochet hook & wool in my hands, I would have told you that you were mad! But I have picked it up quicker than I have ever imagined & I can now tick it off my list of things I want to learn this year. I am attending a bloggers baby shower next month for 4 local bloggers who are all expecting babies soon so there is no better time to be learning how to crochet.

I have a few more things to make to go with the pink & grey beanie. I love pink & grey together for a little baby girl. I also still have 2 more gift sets to make, one for a boy & 1 for a girl. I would like to keep going with the crochet theme.
